How it works

Hernia Basecamp, a new dynamic space to:
Upskill, explore, review, and learn all that you need for your Hernia practice.

Stage 1 Theoretical knowledge base

Register for WebSurg and watch the videos related to your topic of interest. The online curriculum includes lectures, operative videos, learning resources, and key publications related to a specific topic. During the live webinars, you will also have the opportunity to discuss topics with experts from around the globe.

Stage 2 Multiple choice questionnaires

At the end of each module, there is an assessment which you can use to earn CME credits. Only one answer is correct/incorrect as specified out of the options provided. The test can only be taken once a year, so make sure you pay attention during your online course!

Stage 3 Apply for your EUMS exam

Once you have taken your online education course, you are likely to be ready to take the next step in your professional life. Apply to become a Fellow of the European Board of Surgeons for Abdominal Wall Surgery and boost your carrier options today! Check it out at https://uemssurg.org/working-groups/abdominal-wall-surgery/ebsq-examinations/

Stage 4 Practical self-assessment and hands-on courses

Once the global situation allows it again, hands-on courses in expert centers will be organized and you will have the opportunity to apply for participation. To visit a center is a great opportunity to consult the expert in a true mentor-mentee fashion.
